The actor best known as Oliver Douglas, the big-city lawyer who decides to become a farmer on tv's "Green Acres", died Thursday. He was 99.
I really liked his character on the show when I used to watch it and remember how I'd get frustrated when everyone made it look like HE was the one out of the loop. Which I guess he was, trying to bring a little common sense and reasoning to the rural locals.
